London 2012 Olympic games recap: photos from the Olympic tennis.

This year London has seen a summer like no other. From the Diamond jubilee through to the Paralympics there have been so many parties and celebrations and such perfect sunny weather which have charged Londoners with positive energy, you can actually see people smiling on the streets.

And you know what? I am one of them, I am still excited about the Olympics and the fact that I got to work on them at Wimbledon is just the highlight of my year.  It really was an amazing experience.

Now just minutes before the Paralympics opening ceremony starts, I would like to share with you, the photographs I took while working at the Olympics, I have resized them because they are so many, but if any of you would really like a full size photo of any of the players, I will be happy to email them to you. Just leave me a comment at the bottom of the post.

Working at Wimbledon during the Olympic games has taught me many things, amongst them I learnt that I kind of love tennis, and that sport journalism is not as much of a boy’s club as I thought.  In fact I wouldn’t mind doing some of that again in the future. I hope you enjoy seeing these pictures and that you enjoy watching the Paralympics.

Thanks for stopping by, Maria X

On the first day the Pet shop boys open the Wimbledon venue and there was also a flash mob that you can watch here

Here are the photos of some of the players, like Andy Murray, Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Maria Sharapova, Elena Baltacha, Laura Robson:
